Job description

Providing legal guidance to the organization to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing legal counsel to senior management on various matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Review and provide legal advice to support proper business process.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests.
• Managing contract renewals, amendments, and terminations
• Draft and review Joint Venture Agreements, Power of Attorney, Memorandum of Understanding, Shareholder Agreements, Intercompany and other corporate documents
• Monitoring contract performance and ensuring compliance with terms.
• Oversee and manage any legal disputes or litigation involving the company, coordinating with external legal counsel as necessary.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
• Identify legal risks and advise the organization on the mitigation of such risks. Implement risk management strategies in collaboration with other departments to safeguard company interests.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) is typically required; a Master's degree or additional certifications in corporate law or related fields are advantageous.
• 10 years of experience in a Corporate legal role.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate and commercial law
• Strong ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents and compliance matters.
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
