Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

  • Provide legal counsel on all corporate legal matters, with a strong focus on EPC contract negotiation, drafting, and dispute resolution.
  • Interpret and implement FIDIC conditions of contract (Red, Yellow, and Silver books) in construction and engineering projects.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE commercial, labor, and regulatory laws across the Group’s operations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, joint ventures, MoUs, NDAs, and supplier agreements.
  • Advise senior management on legal risks associated with contracts, procurement processes, and business decisions.
  • Handle corporate governance matters including legal structuring, licensing, board resolutions, and shareholder agreements.
  • Represent the Group in legal proceedings, arbitration, and negotiations, especially in matters related to claims or regulatory disputes.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as necessary.
  • Maintain current knowledge of changes in legislation and proactively inform business units about compliance requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution; a Master’s Degree or post-graduate certification in construction law or commercial law is an advantage.
  • Licensed to practice law in the UAE or eligible for legal consultancy license.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience, with at least 4 years in EPC contract law and FIDIC-based contract management.
  • Proven experience in handling construction claims, arbitration, and project finance agreements.
  • Strong understanding of UAE Civil Code, local commercial and labor laws, and corporate structuring.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
