Job summary

Chalhoub Group in Dubai is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to oversee all shipment activities, ensure Incoterms compliance, and maintain regulatory standards.

You will track shipments, coordinate with forwarders, review documents, and prepare reports while contributing to efficiency and supplier relations. A 1–2 year background in logistics is preferred, with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations.
• Understanding of import/export documentation and Incoterms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee shipment activities per Incoterms and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
• Update logistics log to inform stakeholders of shipment status and enable internal tracking.
• Compare charges with two forwarders when no rate card is available.
• Follow up on POs and archive documents for Advance Shipping Notification creation.
• Review shipping docs with clearing agents to ensure smooth clearance and delivery.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with shipments.
• Share HS Code summary with clearing agents before shipment arrival; share delivery schedule when ready.
• Process MOFAIC for UAE mainland shipments invoices above 10,000 AED.
• Archive charges and send payable requests after delivery.
• Prepare operational reports and monitor shipping KPIs.

Job description

• Coordinate and oversee all activities related to the shipment of goods as per the incoterms and ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.




• Update logitude to ensure the stake holders are updated on the shipment status and for the internal tracking purpose.




• Compare charges with 2 forwarders for the shipments if we do not have agreed rate card.




• Follow up for PO and archive the documents in logitude for Advance shipment notification creation.




• Review shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc) with the clearing agent to ensure smooth clearance and delivery.




• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with shipments.




• HSCODE summary to be shared with the clearing agent before the arrival of the shipment and delivery schedule to be shared once the shipment is ready for delivery.




• MOFAIC to be done for the UAE mainland shipments for the invoices above 10,000 AED.




• Charges to be archived and obligation/payable request to be send once the delivery is done for the shipment.




• Prepare operational reports and monitor KPIs related to shipping performance.
