Job summary

A leading event venue in the UAE is seeking a candidate for an operational role requiring significant onsite presence. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, planning maintenance, and coordinating logistics with security. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience in the event industry, strong English communication skills, and computer literacy. This position involves working unsociable hours as per event operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the event industry in an operational role.
  • Participation in trainings/workshops related to event management.

Responsibilities

  • Check all facilities, act required, barrier, and other safety measures.
  • Conduct daily inspections and report any issues.
  • Plan maintenance quarterly and monthly during peak seasons.
  • Monitor vehicle access build-up and coordinate parking zones.
  • Ensure strict timing in coordination with security for vehicle entry and exit.

Skills

Job description

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Check all facilities, act required, barrier, and other safety measures.
  • Conduct daily inspections and report any issues.

Maintenance Scheduling

  • Plan maintenance quarterly and monthly during peak seasons and as required.
  • Security staffing requirements.
  • Diesel fuel management.
  • Operate tower lights and LED lights.
  • Manage sweet water supply and drainage water removal.

Build-up/Tear Down Procedures

  • Monitor vehicle access build-up.
  • Coordinate parking zones in all yards.
  • Ensure strict timing in coordination with security for vehicle entry and exit at DWTC.
  • Oversee tear down logistics, coordinating with security regarding access priorities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders: Security, contractor badge team, H&S, and others.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting line and Senior Director - Venue Infrastructure.
  • Adhere to Quality Standards, Security, and Health & Safety requirements in all duties.

Operating Environment

Due to the nature of the work, timings may vary based on ongoing events. The role requires significant onsite presence throughout the venue and involves unsociable hours (evenings, weekends, public holidays) as per event operational needs.

Formal Education

Diploma or High School qualification.

Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the event industry in an operational role.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Computer literacy essential.
  • Knowledge of EBMS.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Urdu speaker.
  • Participation in trainings/workshops related to event management, including event planning, operations, project management, self-organization, and time management (to be conducted internally).
