Job description

Job Title: Controls Project Engineer

Job Description: This position offers the opportunity to work on interesting international projects with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and program PLC controls for material handling systems (Airports and Parcel domain) at our Veghel office, meeting high quality standards on a project basis.
2. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary project team during the engineering phase to deliver a Functional Specification.
3. Responsible for detailed design, programming, and testing of PLC software.
4. Travel to customer sites worldwide for commissioning of the material handling system, performing functional testing of hardware and software, and integrating PLC software into the overall control system.
5. Assist in customer acceptance testing.
6. Monitor project budgets and schedules, taking appropriate actions when necessary.

Your department:

The Project Engineering department oversees the worldwide execution of projects involving mechanical, electromechanical, and control components of material handling systems. The Controls Project Engineer works under a Project Leader and closely with the Integration Manager, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Your profile:

• HBO (higher vocational education) level education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Controls Technology.
• This vacancy is open to both junior and senior engineers.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on attitude.
• Experience in PLC applications (TIA Portal).
• Willingness to work abroad up to 50% of the time.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to deliver feedback and share best practices to improve products.
• Effective communication skills with regular progress reporting.
• Ability to manage deadlines and milestones.
