Job summary

Dubai Petroleum (DPE) is seeking a seasoned Offshore DCS Specialist to oversee live production systems aboard an offshore platform. The role requires hands-on control of DCS, offshore safety credentials, and the ability to read telemetry and P&ID documentation.

You will work a 28/28 rotation with a highly competitive monthly base salary of 18,000–28,000 AED, housing and meals provided, and comprehensive health insurance, delivering long‑term career stability in upstream operations.

Qualifications

• OPITO BOSIET offshore survival credentials required.
• Active OGUK offshore medical fitness certificate required.
• 5+ years of hands-on field experience with DCS in live offshore oil and gas.
• Ability to read live telemetry and P&ID documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and regulate offshore production equipment via the main DCS interface, adjusting wellhead chokes to maximize daily crude output.
• Troubleshoot critical system alarms across high-risk deck zones and initiate emergency platform shutdowns during confirmed gas leaks.
• Manage and authorize the Permit to Work (PTW) system for designated areas, ensuring safe LOTO isolation by maintenance crews.

• Mandatory possession of valid, unexpired offshore survival credentials, specifically OPITO BOSIET, alongside strict H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) awareness certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable, hands‑on field experience operating complex Distributed Control Systems (DCS) directly within a live offshore oil and gas environment.
• Strict requirement for an active OGUK offshore medical fitness certificate; candidates must demonstrate advanced proficiency in reading live telemetry and P&ID documentation.

• Continuously monitor and physically regulate offshore production equipment via the main DCS interface, adjusting wellhead chokes to safely maximize daily crude oil output.
• Acknowledge and troubleshoot critical system alarms across high‑risk deck zones, immediately initiating emergency platform shutdown sequences during confirmed gas leaks.
• Manage and strictly authorize the Permit to Work (PTW) system for designated areas, ensuring all maintenance crews safely isolate heavy machinery using LOTO protocols.
