Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual matters across major projects.
• Manage post-contract administration, variations, claims and change control.
• Advise project teams on contractual risk, obligations and entitlement.
• Review and respond to Extension of Time claims.
• Manage contractual correspondence, notices and supporting documentation.
• Assess variations and the commercial impact of changes in scope.
• Work closely with architecture, engineering and project management teams.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Identify potential contractual and commercial risks at an early stage.
• Provide advice on procurement and contracting strategy.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution where required.

A well-established international architecture and engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Commercial & Contracts Manager to join its Dubai team.

This is a senior position within a highly regarded business, working across major projects in the region with strong exposure to clients, project leadership and complex commercial matters.

It would suit somebody looking for a visible role with real responsibility across both contracts and wider commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual matters across major projects
• Manage post-contract administration, variations, claims and change control
• Advise project teams on contractual risk, obligations and entitlement

Requirements

• Extensive experience within commercial management, contracts or claims
• Strong background within architecture, engineering, construction or multidisciplinary consultancy
• Significant UAE or wider Middle East experience
• Proven experience handling claims, variations, EOT and contractual correspondence
• MRICS or FRICS preferred
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law or a related discipline
• Strong commercial judgement and client-facing capability
