Job summary

Currie & Brown in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Contracts Manager with infrastructure/mixed-use development experience to join our team and work with a key client.

The role involves reviewing plans and contracts, managing the contract lifecycle, negotiating terms, and coordinating with project teams to ensure milestones and contractual obligations are met.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Contract Manager.
• Basic knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Keen attention to detail with an ability to spot errors.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners.
• Degree in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications and contracts to ensure correct equipment, material and subcontractor services are ordered and/or purchased.
• Maintain client relationships and deliver commercial and contracts reports according to client requirements.
• Manage the contract lifecycle.
• Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards.
• Review and update existing contracts.
• Explain terms and conditions to managers and relevant parties.
• Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress, and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
• Help develop and implement commercial strategies.
• Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
• Work with project managers, architects, engineers, owners and others to meet project goals.
• Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met.
• Maintain organized system of physical and digital records.
