Job description

A leading UAE based manufacturer of building materials is looking for a Contract Manager to oversee, draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with scope of work, applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts related to projects, ensuring adherence to legal, financial, and corporate standards.
  • Liaise with internal departments (legal, commercial, financial, and operational) to ensure contract terms align with company objectives and interests.
  • Lead negotiations on complex contractual matters, representing the organization in discussions with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with internal protocols and present terms and conditions to relevant stakeholders for review and approval.
  • Facilitate regular contractual meetings to monitor progress and ensure fulfilment of contractual obligations by all parties involved.
  • Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and finance departments to ensure operational alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company standards and legal compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and manage contract-related disputes effectively and efficiently.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in contract management within the building material/construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of contract terms, principles, and best practices
  • Strong commercial, technical, and analytical skills
  • Proven negotiation and dispute resolution capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
