Contract Manager
Job description
- Develop and manage contractual frameworks for construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable outcomes that protect the company's interests.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential issues throughout the contract lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress against contractual obligations, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and adherence to budget constraints.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve disputes and clarify contract terms, promoting a collaborative working environment.
- Prepare and review detailed contract documents, ensuring clarity and completeness to minimize ambiguities and potential conflicts.
- Perform regular audits of contracts and project files to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement in contract management processes.
- Maintain an organized database of contracts and related documentation, enabling easy retrieval for audits and reporting.
- Provide training and support to project teams on contractual obligations and best practices for contract management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal changes, and best practices in contract management to continuously enhance skills and processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in contract management within the oil and gas construction sector.
- Experience in Arbitration, EOT Claims, Insurance.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles related to construction contracts and project finance.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of successfully managing high-value contracts.
