Job Purpose


Carry out commercial contract activities for materials, equipment, and services, from contract award to closure, to ensure Nawah's requirements are met in a safe, compliant, timely, and efficient manner, supporting the safe operations of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). Support management in developing procurement and supply chain strategies to ensure security of supply. Assist the Procurement Supplier Team and end users in managing all commercial activities of suppliers to ensure consistency in procurement processes and end user satisfaction.

Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountability

  1. Contract Administration
  • Understand specifications and scope of work in the approved Contract to ensure all commercial requirements are satisfied according to contract conditions.
  • Manage procurement and call-off orders under existing Outline Agreements to meet user requirements for BNPP's safe operation.
  • Interface regularly with Requesting Organizations to ensure contract compliance and resolve commercial issues.
  • Support Supplier Relationship team by providing supplier performance evaluations for future tenders.
  • Communicate with Requesting Organization, Nuclear Specification Engineering, Finance, Legal, and suppliers post-contract award for resolution of commercial and contractual matters.
  • Assist with contract closeout and provide feedback on supplier performance.
  • Ensure supplier activities meet contractual obligations.
  • Lead contract dispute resolution with suppliers as needed.
  • Assist in resolving invoice or work billed disputes per Purchase Order terms.
  • Quality Assurance (QA)
    • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, complying with company-wide quality programs to support safe plant operation.
    • Report quality issues promptly for timely resolution.
  • Procedures and Best Practices
    • Implement procurement procedures and identify process gaps and improvements.
    • Adhere to procurement standards and assist users in compliance.
    • Conduct contract management activities according to best practices and business conduct codes.
  • Training and Qualifications
    • Complete required training to maintain necessary qualifications and certifications.
    • Enhance knowledge of BNPP operations and procurement’s impact on safety and efficiency.
  • Planning, Reporting & Systems
    • Gather information for reports to update management.
    • Complete supplier performance evaluations and feedback.
    • Maintain procurement documentation for traceability.
    • Record contract details and develop management plans.
  • Budget
    • Contribute to budget planning and monitor financial performance.
    • Provide financial forecasts for contract cash flow management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Facilitate effective communication internally and externally to build strong relationships.

    • Minimum: N/A
    • Preferred: MCIPS or other professional procurement qualification

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent
    • 3 years relevant experience, or
    • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, or Engineering with 5 years relevant experience in nuclear power plants, preferably in contract management within the nuclear energy sector.
