Job summary

VertexGlobal in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team on a contractual basis. You will install, maintain and repair instruments used in industrial processes to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires hands-on skills with calibration, troubleshooting and reading diagrams, plus ability to work independently or with others. Fluency in English is preferred; local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
Strong understanding of instrument installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration procedures.
Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Good communication skills in English is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain various instruments such as pressure gauges flow meters temperature sensors and control valves
Troubleshoot and repair any issues with instruments to ensure they are functioning correctly
Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy and precision
Read and interpret instrument diagrams and technical manuals
Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve complex instrument issues
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any malfunctions or defects
Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working with instruments
