Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to join our team on the. The successful candidate will have over 15 years of hands-on experience managing complex projects from pre-contract to post-contract stages. This role requires deep expertise in cost management, contract administration, procurement strategy, and stakeholder coordination, with a strong ability to lead commercial aspects of large-scale developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Contract Stage:
- Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies, and budget estimates.
- Participate in tender strategy, documentation, and evaluation.
- Support procurement processes and contractor selection.
- Draft and review RFP , tender documents, contracts (FIDIC, bespoke), and bills of quantities.
- Provide risk assessment and value engineering input during the design phase.
- Post-Contract Stage:
- Administer and manage construction contracts, including change management, variations, claims, and extension of time (EOT) assessments.
- Monitor and control project costs against budget.
- Review and verify payment valuations, change orders, claims, final accounts, and contractor payments.
- Conduct commercial reporting and forecasting.
- Manage contractual correspondence and negotiations with contractors and consultants.
- Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Represent the developer/consultant in meetings with contractors, consultants, and authorities.
- Coordinate between internal departments (Design, Planning, Finance) and external parties.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on cost and contract matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying or a related field.
- MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Quantity Surveying / Contracts Administration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
- Proven ability to manage complex commercial issues and contractual negotiations.
