The Content Editor (Arabic) is responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining Arabic-language content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the organization's brand voice and communication standards. This role involves working closely with writers, translators, marketers, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality written content for both print and digital platforms. The editor will ensure all content is culturally appropriate, linguistically precise, and compliant with UAE media and publishing regulations.
Responsibilities:
Editing and proofreading Arabic content across various formats, including articles, marketing materials, websites, social media, and corporate communications.
Ensuring linguistic accuracy, grammatical correctness, and stylistic consistency in all Arabic-language materials.
Collaborating with writers and translators to enhance content quality and ensure cultural relevance and audience engagement.
Adapting English content into high-quality Arabic while maintaining intended tone and meaning when required.
Reviewing and aligning all content with brand guidelines, editorial standards, and messaging strategies.
Working with design and digital teams to ensure content is optimized for different platforms and audiences.
Ensuring compliance with UAE content laws, media ethics, and publishing standards, including content approvals where applicable.
Staying updated on language trends, regional dialect preferences, and current affairs to produce relevant and engaging content.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language, Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in Arabic content editing, publishing, or media production, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
Exceptional command of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and strong understanding of regional dialects and cultural nuances.
Proven experience working with digital and print content formats, with an eye for detail and consistency.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO basics, and digital publishing tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive editorial feedback.
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory; proficiency in English is essential for bilingual communication.
