Your Career

The role of Consulting Director in Unit 42 is a senior-level consulting position. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our threat-led and technology-driven cybersecurity consulting services by leading and overseeing a team of Consultants. This person should have experience in team development and working with sales and domain leaders.

The Consulting Director will collaborate with a Regional Business Development Manager (BDM) and Customer Success Manager (CSM) to deliver pitches, prepare proposals to secure new business, and manage client relationships.

The individual acts as a trusted advisor to clients, committed to delivering high-standard technical consulting services, thriving in a fast-paced team environment, and advocating for innovative approaches to achieve optimal outcomes for our cross-sector clients.

Your Impact

1. Oversee the delivery of proactive consulting services, ensuring quality, consistency, and excellent customer service.
2. Provide expert-level Security Operations Center (SOC) assessments and transformation services, delivering findings to CxO and Board of Directors.
3. Collaborate with the BDM and CSM on pipeline generation activities.
4. Lead scoping and service overview discussions with clients, articulating approaches and methodologies clearly to technical and executive audiences.
5. Partner with the Unit 42 leadership to develop and execute strategies for proactive services.
6. Drive innovation in proactive offerings, leading and managing the consulting team and collaborating on new capabilities leveraging Palo Alto Networks products.
7. Manage team productivity through utilization targets.
8. Work with peers to drive operational and practice development goals.
9. Recruit and onboard top talent to support growth.
10. Support professional growth of consultants through training and enablement.
11. Foster a culture of excellence and attract talented team members.
12. Identify and implement strategies for service development, enablement, and product adoption.
13. Maintain relationships with key clients to showcase capabilities and provide expertise.
14. Enhance Unit 42’s market presence through thought leadership activities such as speaking engagements, articles, and media exposure.

Qualifications

Your Experience

1. 12+ years of hands-on cybersecurity consulting experience, including at least 4 of the following 8 areas for global enterprise clients:

• Security operations (highly preferred)
• Application security (including AI)
• Cloud security
• Red & purple teaming
• Cybersecurity risk assessments
• Cybersecurity strategy & transformations
• Cyber crisis management
• Zero Trust

Additional requirements include senior team leadership experience, ability to balance multiple responsibilities, strong communication skills, client management skills, public speaking, technical writing, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and professional industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
