Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon - Dubai

Allocation Assist is seeking a highly qualified and experienced vitreoretinal ophthalmologist surgeon to join our client team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retinal surgery and an excellent understanding of ophthalmologic conditions and treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform comprehensive retinal exams for patients and interpret diagnostic tests
2. Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for a wide range of ophthalmologic conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments
3. Perform surgical procedures, such as vitrectomy, retinal laser surgery, and intravitreal injections
4. Lead and direct a team of ophthalmology technicians, nurses, and support staff
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements in retinal surgery and incorporate new techniques into practice
6. Foster strong partnerships within the medical community and participate in clinical research and educational activities
7. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and adhere to all legal and ethical standards of care

Qualifications:

1. Medical degree from an accredited institution
2. Board certification in ophthalmology, with subspecialty training in vitreoretinal surgery
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Vitreoretinal Ophthalmologist Surgeon
4. Excellent surgical skills and proficiency in using advanced ophthalmic equipment
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
6. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously
7. The candidate must have received Western training or education
