Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai seeks an experienced Consultant Urologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for a broad range of urological conditions.

You will perform endoscopic, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive procedures, manage pre- and post-operative care, and collaborate with oncology, nephrology, radiology, anesthesia, and other teams. DHA license preferred.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Urology.
• Board certification, CCT/CCST, fellowship, or equivalent qualification recognized by UAE health authority.
• Relevant consultant-level clinical experience in Urology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive outpatient consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
• Diagnose and manage complex urological conditions involving kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive system.
• Manage kidney and urinary stones, BPH, urinary obstruction, infections, incontinence, and lower urinary tract disorders.
• Diagnose and manage urological malignancies, including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers.
• Perform endoscopic, laparoscopic, minimally invasive, and other urological surgical procedures.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up.
• Manage elective and emergency urological presentations.
• Evaluate male reproductive health conditions, including infertility and erectile dysfunction.
• Review and interpret laboratory, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostics.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and counsel patients on options.

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Urologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical care for patients with a broad range of urological conditions. The successful candidate will manage complex cases and perform appropriate endoscopic, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive procedures within their area of expertise. Current Dubai roles commonly emphasize multidisciplinary care and advanced urological procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive outpatient consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
• Diagnose and manage complex urological conditions involving the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive system.
• Manage kidney and urinary stones, BPH, urinary obstruction, infections, incontinence, and lower urinary tract disorders.
• Diagnose and manage urological malignancies, including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers.
• Perform appropriate endoscopic, laparoscopic, minimally invasive, and other urological surgical procedures.
• Perform procedures such as cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, and other interventions according to clinical expertise.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up.
• Manage both elective and emergency urological presentations.
• Evaluate male reproductive health conditions, including infertility and erectile dysfunction.
• Review and interpret laboratory, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and counsel patients regarding available treatment options.
• Collaborate with oncology, nephrology, radiology, anesthesia, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, audits, and professional development.
• Mentor junior doctors and contribute to departmental education where required.
• Participate in on-call duties as applicable.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Urology.
• Board certification, CCT/CCST, fellowship, or equivalent qualification recognized by the relevant UAE health authority.
• Relevant consultant-level clinical experience in Urology.
• Strong experience in managing complex urological cases.
• Experience in minimally invasive, endoscopic, and laparoscopic procedures is preferred.
• Robotic urology experience may be advantageous for applicable positions.
• Eligibility for or possession of a valid DHA Consultant license is preferred.
