SCD Data Analyst - Fleet Management System (FMS) Data Analyst

ABOUT WFP

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) delivers food assistance to over 90 million beneficiaries in 80 countries annually. With a fleet of trucks, ships, and planes, WFP operates a global network to reach the most inaccessible areas.

GLOBAL FLEET

WFP owns and operates over 1400 trucks and related facilities across 28 Country Offices, providing critical transport capacity and pioneering new routes, especially in insecure areas. The Global Fleet unit manages fleet services, including vehicle tracking systems.

JOB PURPOSE

The FMS Data Analyst supports system administration, provides user support, analyzes FMS data, and prepares KPI reports, assisting in system development and updates.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Analyze FMS data for consistency, completeness, and correctness.
  • Review processes to enhance data quality, liaising with the FMS Administrator.
  • Reconcile data from FMS, GPS, and other sources for reporting.
  • Prepare clear KPI reports for management and clients regularly.
  • Automate data analysis processes using formulas and SQL.
  • Provide global FMS training to users.
  • Test new system features and assist in deployment and support.
  • Update system manuals as needed.
  • Support day-to-day activities of the Hub Manager and FMS Administrator.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

EDUCATION

Advanced university degree in business administration, engineering, data science, supply chain, or similar field.

EXPERIENCE

At least three years of relevant experience in data management, business analytics, and system design. Experience in fleet management systems, data analysis, and proficiency in MS Office. Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in multicultural teams and understand WFP logistics practices is advantageous.

LANGUAGE

Proficiency in English and intermediate knowledge of another UN official language.
