Job summary

Mediclinic Middle East Management Services FZ LLC seeks an experienced Spine Surgeon to diagnose and treat complex spinal disorders. The role involves performing minimally invasive and complex reconstructive procedures, evaluating patients via exams and imaging, and developing tailored treatment plans.

The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead patient counselling, and ensure high standards of safety, ethics, and regulatory compliance across all care stages.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• MS/DNB in Orthopaedics or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification.
• Fellowship/advanced Spine Surgery training preferred.
• Valid medical registration/license to practice.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant post-specialization experience in spine surgery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with complex spinal disorders.
• Perform spinal surgeries including minimally invasive and reconstructive procedures.
• Evaluate patients through clinical examination and imaging.
• Develop and implement surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
• Provide pre-operative counselling and explain options, risks, benefits and outcomes.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, radiologists and physiotherapists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in audits and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Job description

Diagnose and manage patients with complex spinal disorders including degenerative traumatic congenital and deformity-related conditions Perform spinal surgeries including minimally invasive and complex reconstructive procedures Evaluate patients through clinical examination imaging and other relevant diagnostic investigations Develop and implement appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment plans Perform procedures such as spinal decompression discectomy laminectomy spinal fusion and instrumentation as appropriate Manage spinal trauma and emergency cases effectively Provide pre-operative counselling and explain treatment options risks benefits and expected outcomes to patients and their families Provide comprehensive post-operative care and monitor patient recovery Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons neurosurgeons radiologists physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation Participate in clinical audits quality improvement initiatives teaching and professional development activities Ensure compliance with hospital policies clinical protocols and applicable healthcare regulations
