Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and functional impairments.
• Evaluate mobility, strength, coordination, pain, endurance, daily living abilities, and overall functional limitations.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on diagnosis, functional capacity, recovery potential, and patient goals.
• Coordinate exercise therapy, manual therapy, electrotherapy, functional training, and other appropriate rehabilitation interventions.
• Recommend assistive devices, mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and supportive technologies when clinically indicated.
• Lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation planning with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and rehabilitation nurses.
• Monitor patient progress using clinical and functional outcomes and adjust treatment plans when recovery needs change.
• Manage rehabilitation requirements associated with neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, physical disability, and chronic conditions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, discharge planning, and complex rehabilitation discussions.
• Educate patients and families about functional adaptation, injury prevention, home‑based rehabilitation, and long‑term wellness strategies.
• Support patients in setting realistic recovery goals and improving independence in daily activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation covering assessments, rehabilitation goals, treatment recommendations, progress, and follow‑up.

Ideal Profile

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑certification clinical experience.
• Previous experience within a hospital or specialized rehabilitation center is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of neurological, musculoskeletal, and functional rehabilitation.
• Experience managing patients with physical disability, neuromuscular disorders, chronic conditions, and mobility limitations.
• Good understanding of modern rehabilitation technologies, assistive devices, and functional treatment methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
• Strong clinical judgment when establishing rehabilitation potential and treatment priorities.
• Excellent patient counseling and interpersonal communication skills.
