Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients with physical disabilities, mobility limitations, injuries, chronic pain, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal concerns, and rehabilitation needs.
• Build individualized rehabilitation and physical medicine treatment plans based on diagnosis, medical history, clinical goals, and patient recovery potential.
• Apply suitable rehabilitation approaches, including exercise therapy, manual therapy coordination, functional restoration plans, pain reduction strategies, and mobility improvement programs.
• Review patient progress regularly, update care plans when needed, and ensure treatment goals remain realistic, measurable, and patient-centered.
• Coordinate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, rehabilitation technicians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment compliance, home-based care routines, self‑management techniques, recovery expectations, and long‑term physical wellness.
• Provide consultant‑level input for complex cases involving post‑surgical rehabilitation, chronic illness, neurological recovery, orthopedic injury, and functional impairment.
• Supervise junior clinical staff and support the professional development of therapists, rehabilitation technicians, and allied health team members.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, clinical audits, rehabilitation protocols, and service development.
• Maintain accurate medical records, progress reports, treatment notes, and clinical documentation in line with hospital standards.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Minimum 5 years of consultant‑level experience in physical medicine, rehabilitation medicine, or a closely related specialty.
• Strong clinical understanding of rehabilitation care, pain management, mobility restoration, functional recovery, and long‑term patient support.
• Ability to manage patients with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, sports or workplace injuries, neurological conditions, and post‑operative recovery needs.
• Confident in working with multidisciplinary teams in a hospital or specialist rehabilitation environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly to patients, families, and clinical colleagues.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Experience in a multicultural healthcare setting is preferred.
