Job description

Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained Consultant Psychiatrist with a fellowship training in Addiction Medicine, Substance Use Disorder, for their client in Dubai which is an inpatient mental health facility. We are looking for Consultant Psychiatrists with a minimum of 5 years PQE post fellowship training.

The Consultant Psychiatrist would be responsible for:

  1. Providing clinical care.
  2. Mentoring trainees and junior faculty.
  3. Working closely with the Leadership and Department of Psychiatry to ensure the adequacy of psychiatric and medical staffing to provide clinical care.
  4. Ensuring that the patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medical screening.
  5. Assisting in the recruitment of psychiatrists and allied healthcare professionals.
  6. Providing oversight for appropriate utilization of services and identifying criteria for level of care.
  7. Contributing to the development, approval, and review of all Policies, Procedures, and Protocols that govern clinical care of the patients.
  8. Identifying treatment and service gaps.
  9. Ensuring that all treatment modalities are consistent with the most recent scientific evidence of effectiveness.
  10. Participating in process improvement programs and collaborating with administrative leadership to ensure appropriate medical records are maintained as required by regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  11. Following and complying with all regulations, laws, and standards in relation to substance use disorder treatment.
  12. Participating in the development and review of the programs and positions that impact clinical services.
  13. Working with the Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine Medical Director in order to achieve clinical excellence.
