Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly to identify rehabilitation needs, physical limitations, pain concerns, mobility challenges, and recovery goals.
• Create individualized treatment plans based on medical history, diagnosis, functional capacity, patient expectations, and long‑term care needs.
• Guide treatment approaches that may include exercise therapy, massage, manual therapy, electrical stimulation, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation.
• Monitor patient progress through regular clinical review, documentation, outcome tracking, and treatment plan modification.
• Educate patients and families on therapy compliance, self‑care methods, safe movement, injury prevention, and home‑based recovery strategies.
• Coordinate care with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation nurses, technicians, and other health‑care professionals.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior staff involved in physical therapy and rehabilitation care.
• Keep updated with new developments in rehabilitation medicine, physical therapy methods, assistive techniques, and patient recovery strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to departmental procedures, care standards, and service development.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records covering assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and rehabilitation outcomes.

Ideal Profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Strong clinical knowledge of rehabilitation medicine, physical therapy planning, mobility restoration, and functional recovery.
• Experience treating patients with injuries, disabilities, chronic illnesses, musculoskeletal conditions, and physical limitations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary health‑care environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counselling, family education, and team coordination.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Experience working in a multicultural setting is preferred.
