Key Responsibilities of the role

• Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental, and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures.
• Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and productivity/utilization review processes.
• Participates in the organization’s performance management system.
• Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring adequate medical coverage within the division.
• Attends divisional meetings as required.
• Assists the Division Chief in recruiting new medical staff when appropriate.
• Assumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Division Chief.
• Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the specialty, including overseeing clinical activities of junior staff, complying with hospital policies, practicing resource utilization, leading ward rounds, and documenting clinical information accurately.
