Key Responsibilities of the role
- Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental, and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and productivity/utilization review processes.
- Participates in the organization’s performance management system.
- Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring adequate medical coverage within the division.
- Attends divisional meetings as required.
- Assists the Division Chief in recruiting new medical staff when appropriate.
- Assumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Division Chief.
- Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the specialty, including overseeing clinical activities of junior staff, complying with hospital policies, practicing resource utilization, leading ward rounds, and documenting clinical information accurately.

- Ensures compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Completes regulatory requirements including licensure, certification, and mandatory training.
- Maintains confidentiality of information.
- Acts as a brand ambassador, promoting a customer-focused approach.
- Builds positive relationships within the department and across the organization.
- Performs additional duties relevant to the role.
- Adheres to occupational health, safety, and infection control guidelines.
- Follows emergency preparedness plans.
- Continuously develops skills and knowledge.
- Maintains appropriate dress code.
- Builds partnerships for integrated care systems.
- Complies with regulations related to mentoring and developing UAE national staff.
Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience
- Required: Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2, current national license or equivalent, proof of yearly CME.
- Experience: Tier 1: minimum 2 years relevant experience; Tier 2: minimum 8 years full-time employment as a Consultant or equivalent, including fellowship training, in an internationally accredited institute.
