Job summary

Astra ProMed seeks a Consultant Pain Medicine in Dubai to deliver comprehensive assessment and management for acute and chronic pain within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves hands-on interventional and non-interventional pain procedures, patient education, and close collaboration with anesthesia, orthopedics, neurology, and oncology to improve outcomes.

The successful candidate will hold a medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent), a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pain Medicine

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pain Medicine or related specialty.
• DHA eligibility letter or DHA license preferred.
• Consultant-level qualification and relevant clinical experience.
• Strong clinical and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience with interventional pain procedures where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based pain management plans.
• Perform interventional and non-interventional pain procedures within scope.
• Coordinate care with anesthesia, orthopedics, neurology, rehabilitation, oncology.
• Educate patients and families on pain management options.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.

We are currently hiring a Consultant Pain Medicine for a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive assessment and management of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based pain management plans.
• Perform appropriate interventional and non-interventional pain management procedures within the physician's scope of practice.
• Manage complex pain conditions, including musculoskeletal, neuropathic, postoperative, and cancer-related pain.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust management plans as required.
• Coordinate care with anesthesiology, orthopedics, neurology, rehabilitation, oncology, and other relevant specialties.
• Provide patient and family education regarding pain management and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
• Follow UAE healthcare regulations, clinical guidelines, and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pain Medicine, Pain Management, Anesthesiology, or a related specialty, as applicable to UAE licensing requirements.
• Consultant-level qualification and relevant clinical experience.
• Valid DHA Eligibility Letter or DHA License is preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience managing complex pain cases and, where applicable, performing interventional pain procedures.
