Job summary

Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility. You will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, manage musculoskeletal conditions, and perform surgical procedures within your area of expertise.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligibility for Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon classification under UAE PQR requirements.
• Valid DOH licence/eligibility or willingness to complete licensing.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
• Strong surgical, clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct orthopedic consultations, assessments, and follow-ups.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Develop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Review and interpret relevant imaging and diagnostic investigations.
• Provide post-operative care and follow-up.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff.
