Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join our dedicated Obstetrics & Gynecology team.. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical and surgical care across a broad spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic services. This includes managing outpatient and inpatient cases, providing delivery room coverage, responding to emergencies, and actively contributing to the hospital’s quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in obstetrics and gynaecology including antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and general gynaecological services.
• Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures related to women’s reproductive health.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
• Supervise and support junior doctors, residents, and medical students.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical governance, and continuing medical education.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Report regularly to the HOD, keeping them informed of department matters and activities.
• Maintain a high level of interpersonal professionalism when working with colleagues, staff, patients, and management.
• Adhere to confidentiality standards regarding patient information and organizational matters.
• Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the core duties and responsibilities of the role.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, UAE Ministry of Health regulations, and Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation norms.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, ensuring they are well informed of the patient’s condition and treatment plans.
• Participate in and support Continuous Quality Improvement activities and help establish high standards of patient care.
