Client of Dr Expat is seeking a Consultant Neonatologist in Abu Dhabi to lead care for newborns in the NICU, collaborating with obstetrics, pediatrics and nursing teams to deliver evidence-based neonatal care.

The role requires a DOH license and board certification in Pediatrics with Neonatology, plus several years of NICU experience. You will develop treatment plans, support families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Valid DOH license to practice as a Consultant Neonatologist is required.
• Board certification in Pediatrics with a subspecialty in Neonatology is required.
• Minimum several years of NICU experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage critically ill newborns and premature infants.
• Provide specialist care within the NICU.
• Manage neonatal respiratory disorders, infections, congenital conditions and other neonatal complications.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and advanced neonatal procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.
• Counsel and support families regarding neonatal care and treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.

Role Overview

As a Consultant Neonatologist you will provide specialist care for newborns requiring intensive medical support including premature infants and babies with complex medical conditions. You will collaborate with pediatricians, obstetricians, NICU nurses, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based neonatal care and improve patient outcomes.
