Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East in Dubai seeks an experienced Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist to join our respiratory medicine team. You will deliver comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary services with a focus on advanced bronchoscopic and interventional procedures.

You will collaborate with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and pathology to develop pulmonary services, provide patient-centered care, and mentor junior physicians in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology or equivalent advanced procedural experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures.
• Provide interventional pulmonology services, including flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, EBUS, transbronchial biopsy and sampling, bronchoalveolar lavage.
• Manage airway, pleural, and pulmonary conditions with multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to development and expansion of interventional pulmonology services.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist to join our specialist respiratory medicine team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary services, with a particular focus on advanced bronchoscopic and interventional pulmonology procedures.

The role involves providing high-quality patient-centered care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of advanced pulmonary services within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex respiratory and pulmonary disorders.


• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures.


• Provide interventional pulmonology services, including:


• Flexible and rigid bronchoscopy


• Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)


• Transbronchial biopsy and sampling


• Bronchoalveolar lavage


• Airway interventions and management of central airway obstruction


• Endobronchial therapies as clinically indicated


• Pleural procedures, including thoracentesis and chest tube management


• Participate in the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of lung cancer and pulmonary nodules.


• Manage complex airway, pleural, and pulmonary conditions.


• Work closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, critical care, and other relevant specialties.


• Provide consultation and second opinions for complex pulmonary cases.


• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.


• Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient-safety initiatives.


• Support teaching, training, and mentoring of junior physicians and clinical staff.


• Contribute to the development and expansion of the interventional pulmonology service.

Qualifications & Requirements

Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine.

Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology or equivalent advanced procedural experience.

Valid eligibility/licensure to practice as a Consultant in Dubai/UAE, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Significant post-specialist clinical experience in pulmonology and interventional pulmonology.

Demonstrated competence in advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures.

Experience in multidisciplinary management of thoracic malignancies is desirable.

Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and high-quality clinical care.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EBUS and advanced bronchoscopy.


• Experience managing complex central airway disease.


• Experience with pleural interventions and advanced diagnostic procedures.
