Job summary

Allocation Assist in Dubai seeks an experienced Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist to lead advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures within a multidisciplinary respiratory medicine team.

The role focuses on diagnostic and therapeutic interventional pulmonology, collaboration with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and critical care, and expanding interventional services in a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology or equivalent.
• Valid eligibility/licensure to practice as a Consultant in Dubai/UAE.
• Significant post-specialist clinical experience in pulmonology and interventional pulmonology.
• Demonstrated competence in advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures.
• Experience in multidisciplinary management of thoracic malignancies is desirable.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and high-quality clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures.
• Provide interventional pulmonology services, including:
• Flexible and rigid bronchoscopy
• Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)
• Transbronchial biopsy and sampling
• Bronchoalveolar lavage
• Airway interventions and management of central airway obstruction
• Endobronchial therapies as clinically indicated
• Pleural procedures, including thoracentesis and chest tube management
• Participate in the diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of lung cancer and pulmonary nodules.
• Manage complex airway, pleural, and pulmonary conditions.
• Work closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, critical care, and other relevant specialties.
• Provide consultation and second opinions for complex pulmonary cases.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient-safety initiatives.
• Support teaching, training, and mentoring of junior physicians and clinical staff.
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the interventional pulmonology service.
