Job summary

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology/Diabetes & Endocrinology.
• Eligible for UAE consultant title and medical licence.
• Minimum 3 years post-training experience in the specialty.
• Experience in managing general internal medicine, diabetes and endocrine disorders.
• Strong clinical judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and provide patient-centred care.

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Internal Medicine / Endocrinology to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a broad range of general medical, endocrine and metabolic conditions. The Consultant will lead the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients within the scope of granted clinical privileges while supporting multidisciplinary care, clinical excellence, patient safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic internal medicine, endocrine and metabolic conditions.
• Provide specialist care for diabetes mellitus and complex endocrine disorders, including thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, parathyroid and calcium/metabolic conditions.
• Manage patients across outpatient and inpatient settings within granted clinical privileges.
• Develop individualised, evidence-based treatment and follow-up plans.
• Provide specialist consultations and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and appropriate continuity of care.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audit and departmental initiatives.
• Support the education, supervision and professional development of physicians and other clinical staff.
• Maintain continuing medical education and remain current with developments and best practices in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB or equivalent recognised medical degree.
• Recognised postgraduate/specialty qualification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology/Diabetes & Endocrinology,
• meeting the applicable UAE Professional Qualification Requirements.
• Eligible for a Consultant title and medical licence under the relevant UAE licensing authority.
• Minimum 3 years of post-training experience in the relevant specialty.
• Comprehensive experience managing general internal medicine, diabetes and endocrine disorders.
• Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and deliver patient-centred care.
