Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Hematologist with expertise in Bone Marrow Transplantation to join our clients esteemed healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be Western Board Certified and possess a strong background in managing complex hematological disorders including experience in performing and overseeing bone marrow transplants. This role involves providing expert care to patients, contributing to clinical research, and mentoring junior medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of haematological disorders including leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood-related conditions.
  • Perform and oversee bone marrow transplant procedures including autologous and allogeneic transplants.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, immunologists, and transplant coordinators to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history, and clinical findings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff including residents and fellows in haematology and bone marrow transplant protocols.
  • Participate in clinical research including designing and conducting studies related to haematology and transplantation.
  • Stay updated on advancements in haematology and bone marrow transplantation through continuing medical education and participation in relevant conferences.
  • Provide patient education and counselling on treatment options, transplant procedures, and post-transplant care.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records, documentation, and billing information.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines for haematology and transplantation services.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Western Board Certification in Hematology (mandatory).
  • Advanced training and experience in Bone Marrow Transplantation (mandatory).
  • Valid medical licensure or eligibility for licensure in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical hematology including significant experience in bone marrow transplantation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex haematological conditions and performing bone marrow transplants.
  • Strong research background with a commitment to advancing the field of haematology and transplantation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
