Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking a Consultant in Family Medicine to deliver comprehensive primary care across all ages. The role emphasizes prevention, chronic disease management, and patient wellness within a modern healthcare facility.

You will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions, maintain records, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. DHA licensing is required or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine.
• Board Certification, CCT, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience as per UAE PQR requirements.
• Valid DHA Consultant license or eligibility, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all age groups.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Conduct routine health examinations, screenings, and preventive care assessments.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions.
• Provide immunizations, health education, and lifestyle counseling.
• Coordinate patient referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure continuity of patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital clinical protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
