Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Emergency Medicine Department, ensuring safe patient flow, high clinical standards, and efficient daily operations.
- Provide expert diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment for acute medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, and critical emergency cases.
- Supervise advanced emergency procedures, including airway management, trauma resuscitation, cardiac emergency response, and critical care stabilization.
- Develop, review, and implement departmental policies, clinical protocols, emergency pathways, and evidence‑based medical practices.
- Oversee staffing, physician scheduling, clinical coverage, team performance, and operational readiness within the emergency department.
- Mentor junior doctors, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals through structured guidance, teaching, and clinical supervision.
- Work closely with hospital leadership, intensive care, surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, radiology, and other departments to improve emergency care pathways.
- Lead clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, CME activities, quality improvement projects, and patient safety initiatives.
- Represent the Emergency Medicine Department in hospital committees, governance meetings, and professional forums.
- Maintain compliance with DHA licensing requirements, hospital policies, emergency medicine standards, and ethical medical practice.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree with recognized specialization in Emergency Medicine.
- Board certification or equivalent qualification in Emergency Medicine.
- Minimum 10–15 years of post‑specialization experience in emergency medicine.
- Proven Head of Department, emergency department leadership, or senior clinical management experience.
- Eligibility for licensing with the Dubai Health Authority.
- Strong expertise in trauma care, resuscitation, critical emergency procedures, and acute patient stabilization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage high‑pressure emergency situations while maintaining patient safety and team coordination.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic or other languages will be an advantage.
- Strong commitment to clinical governance, service improvement, teaching, and world‑class emergency care.
