A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Dermatologist with a recognized Western postgraduate qualification or internationally recognized board certification. The successful candidate will provide consultant-level medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology services in a modern clinical environment. Similar current Dubai vacancies specifically seek candidates with qualifications such as American Board, UK CCT, or other recognized Western qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic dermatological conditions.
- Provide expert consultation for skin, hair, nail, pigmentary, and inflammatory disorders.
- Manage conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, vitiligo, pigmentation disorders, and skin infections.
- Perform dermatological procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, excisions, and other minor procedures where appropriately qualified.
- Provide aesthetic dermatology services, including laser treatments, chemical peels, PRP, injectables, and other non-surgical procedures, where within approved privileges.
- Conduct skin cancer screening and assessment of suspicious skin lesions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with DHA requirements and facility policies.
- Collaborate with other specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing medical education.
- DHA standards recognize dermatologists among the physicians who can perform specified non-surgical cosmetic procedures within a DHA-licensed facility and according to applicable privileges.
Qualifications
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Dermatology.
- Western-trained or internationally recognized board certification, preferably:
- American Board of Dermatology
- UK CCT/CCST in Dermatology
- Canadian Royal College certification
- Australian/New Zealand specialist qualification
- Other recognized Western or internationally accepted board certification
- Strong consultant-level clinical experience following specialist/board certification.
- Eligibility for DHA Consultant Dermatologist registration/licensing.
- Valid professional registration/license in the country of current or recent practice.
- Strong expertise in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and ethical medical practice.
