Job summary

Allocation Assist seeks a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine to lead ICU care for liver and kidney transplant patients in Dubai. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, and anesthetists to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will oversee invasive monitoring, ventilation, and renal support while upholding DHA standards. Applicants should have a critical care residency, transplant ICU subspecialty, and board certification, with at least five years post-fellowship

Qualifications

• Must hold MBBS or equivalent with residency in Critical Care or Internal Medicine
• Fellowship/subspecialty training in Transplant ICU or Critical Care Medicine required
• Board-certified (UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in transplant-related ICU care
• Valid DHA license or eligibility for DHA Consultant classification
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the ICU team in managing critically ill transplant patients across pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, and anesthetists to optimize outcomes
• Perform invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, and hemodynamic support
• Ensure compliance with international best practices and DHA regulations
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and training for junior staff
• Provide on-call support and consultations across critical care and transplant units

• Perform advanced procedures such as invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, and hemodynamic support
• Ensure compliance with international best practices and DHA regulations
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs for junior staff
• Provide on-call support and consultations across critical care areas including ER and transplant units
