Job summary

Stafmed seeks an experienced Consultant Clinical Geneticist for a full-time role in the UAE. You will diagnose, manage, and counsel patients with genetic disorders, interpret advanced genomic data, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance genomic medicine services.

You will contribute to guidelines, research, and educational initiatives while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality in a tax-free environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised specialist qualification in Clinical Genetics or related field.
• Tier 1 qualification recognised for UAE licensing considerations.
• Post-specialisation experience in Clinical Genetics or related field (3–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical genetics consultations for paediatric and adult patients.
• Assess and diagnose rare genetic disorders and inherited conditions.
• Conduct clinical evaluations for dysmorphology and developmental disorders.
• Interpret genomic and genetic testing results (NGS, exome, genome sequencing).
• Provide genetic counselling and support for patients and families.
• Manage prenatal, fetal genetics, inherited cardiovascular conditions, cancer genetics, and metabolic disorders.
• Develop diagnostic and management plans based on findings and data.
• Collaborate with laboratory geneticists, genetic counsellors, clinicians, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary genomic case reviews and discussions.
• Contribute to clinical guidelines, service development, and genomic medicine pathways.
• Support clinical education, research, and CPD.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality.
