Construction Manager - Marine & Ports
Abu Dhabi, UAE

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide HSE oversight and enforcement for all construction activities across the project

• Manage construction activities across the board

• Provide construction compliance of projects to group governance, external stakeholder, and cluster requirements

• Manage site interfaces and dependencies across projects and sites

• Monitor construction risks, resolve issues and update mitigation plans

• Prepare reports to management for all maritime construction related matters and present performance improvement initiatives based on current activities, data analysis and forecasting study

• Coordinate and manage interfaces between site-based consultants, contractors, supply chains, operational teams, and various project stakeholders

• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative culture between project teams, supply chain and other stakeholders for the betterment of the AD Ports group

• Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability

• Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance

• Develop and maintain relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants, and contractors

• Support the development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices

• Identify and support improvement initiatives

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• A bachelors degree or Diploma in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field

• A minimum of 15 years experience if holding a bachelors degree

• A minimum of 20 years experience if holding a diploma

• Must have experience in marines and ports

• A minimum of 5 years experience in the UAE

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Experience in delivering construction projects

• 5 years in a construction management position

• Good leadership skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• A masters degree

• Arabic speaking would be an advantage
