Job summary

Penspen is urgently seeking a Construction Lead - Offshore to oversee offshore construction activities for oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will lead site execution, coordinate with engineering, procurement and offshore teams, and ensure HSE, quality, schedule and budget compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 15–18+ years in oil & gas construction, including at least 5 years in a lead position and offshore experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15–18+ years in Oil & Gas Construction with at least 5 years in a lead role.
• Minimum 5+ years offshore experience.
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Familiarity with international standards.
• PMC and EPC Offshore projects experience preferred.
• ADNOC projects experience would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise offshore construction activities in accordance with project specs, HSE and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and offshore teams to ensure efficient execution.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors to deliver on schedule and within budget.
• Review construction procedures, method statements, work packs, and completion docs.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and offshore regulations.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning and project handover activities.
• Prepare construction reports and provide regular progress updates to management.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and offshore teams to ensure efficient project execution.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Review construction procedures, method statements, work packs, and mechanical completion documentation.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and offshore regulations.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Prepare construction reports and provide regular progress updates to project management.

Qualifications And Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 TO 18+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Construction, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
• Minimum 5+ years of offshore experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.
• Familiarity with international standards
• PMC and EPC Offshore projects experience will be preferred
• Previous experience in the ADNOC projects in the similar role would be an added advantage
