Job Description
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is executed according to project plans and specifications, while maintaining high safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering professionals to interpret blueprints and project designs, providing input on constructability and design feasibility.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations, reporting any discrepancies to senior management.
- Manage construction schedules and timelines effectively, ensuring that projects stay on track and within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that materials and services are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and project budgets, analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs to optimize project efficiency.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures, conducting tests on materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project alignment and address any concerns.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders, to maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers and site personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction engineering or site management, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
- Experience with project management software and construction management tools, enhancing project tracking and reporting capabilities.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage for international projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards relevant to the construction industry.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical skills, with a focus on innovative solutions to construction challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, showcasing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness to work on-site, including the ability to navigate construction environments and manage site-related challenges.
