Job summary

Penspen Ltd is urgently seeking a Construction Engineer (Piping) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have experience in offshore piping construction and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The role involves supporting various project phases, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and reviewing engineering deliverables. Candidates with ADNOC offshore experience are preferred.

• Proven offshore piping construction experience.
• Preferred background in PMC/EPC.

Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Construction Engineer (Piping) for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Support for offshore oil & gas projects during fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and pre-commissioning phases.
• Ensures that all piping construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Review piping construction drawings, isometrics, spool drawings, and work packs.
• Develop and support construction methodologies, execution plans, and installation procedures.
• Monitor piping fabrication, erection, fit-up, welding, testing, and reinstatement activities.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved procedures and project requirements.
• Coordinate piping construction activities with structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Review engineering deliverables for constructability and installation feasibility.
• Respond to site technical queries and coordinate engineering clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Monitor welding productivity and quality performance.
• Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities.
• Coordinate hydrostatic and pneumatic testing activities.
• Ensure proper test package preparation and completion.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and applicable standards.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication yard, offshore installation, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.
• Prepare construction reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.

Experience Required

• Minimum 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in offshore project.
• Proven experience in offshore piping construction activities.
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is an advantage.
