Job Description:

Construction Director - Infrastructure complex projects ( Highways, bridges and tunnels)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Director to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working with large diverse teams to deliver major infrastructure projects

  • Assisting in the preparation of bids for major construction supervision and PMC projects

  • Building string internal and external relationships to enhance project delivery

  • Taking accountability for the delivery of a range of infrastructure projects

  • Promoting innovation to deliver a top quality product

  • Setting an example in placing health and safety as our top priority

  • Establishes assignments and directs the activities of Construction Managers, Construction Project Directors, Senior Resident Engineers and Resident Engineers for various units and/or work areas of construction operations.

  • Assigns manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Anticipates and resolves various problems such as changes in scope, slippage of schedules, and budget overruns. Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project. Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate, for the resolution of major problems

  • Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.

  • Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients, including formal presentations.

  • Establishes policies and procedures tailored to the assigned projects and ensures conformance.

  • Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.

  • Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities.

  • Maintains strong client and community relations, including making presentations to local civic organizations.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)

  • 20+ years of widely diversified experience (including successful management experience) in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is required.

  • Experience in the region its a must

  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships both internally and externally

  • Ability to lead a large team

  • Ability to work with technical design teams to enhance delivery and resolve project issues
