Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Configuration Officer for Halcon to lead CM activities across programs, ensuring integrity and traceability of all configuration items throughout the product lifecycle.

You will develop CM plans, manage baselines for systems, hardware, software and documentation, and ensure compliance with ANSI/EIA-649 standards. The role requires 7+ years in CM or document control within engineering settings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management and/or Document Control within a systems engineering or technology-driven organization.
• Advanced knowledge of ANSI/EIA-649 Configuration Management principles and Systems Engineering processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent qualification; Aerospace or Defence industry experience is highly desirable.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Configuration Officer for Halcon is responsible for executing Configuration Management (CM) activities across one or more programs, ensuring the integrity, traceability, and control of all configuration items throughout the product lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management (CM) Plans across multiple programs.
• Manage and control configuration baselines for systems, hardware, software, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Configuration Management processes, procedures, and ANSI/EIA-649 standards.
• Conduct configuration audits, status accounting, reporting, and change control activities to maintain full product traceability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management and/or Document Control within a systems engineering or technology-driven organization.
• Advanced knowledge of ANSI/EIA-649 Configuration Management principles and Systems Engineering processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent engineering qualification; Aerospace or Defence industry experience is highly desirable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Defence program experience preferred.
• Experience working within regulated engineering environments.
• Familiarity with configuration audits and quality management processes.
