Job summary

Accor is seeking a Receptionist for their Fairmont Bab Al Bahr located in Dubai. The role requires maintaining a welcoming presence at the Reception Desk, ensuring guests are greeted courteously, while upholding the hotel’s excellent service standards.

The ideal candidate will possess superior guest service skills, practical experience, and a hospitality diploma is preferred. Proficiency in English and ability to manage cash transactions accurately are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in customer service.
• Proficient in English (verbal & written); a second language is an asset.
• Able to type 25 words per minute.
• Must handle cash effectively and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests courteously, mostly using their name.

• Remains observant and responds to each guest who approaches the Reception Desk.
• Acts as an ambassador of Fairmont Bab Al Bahr by providing an excellent first impression.
• Maintains a perpetual presence on the Reception Desk throughout the hours of the shift.
• Greets all guests courteously, using the guest’s name whenever possible.
• Follows Hotel’s telephone etiquette standards.
• Enrolls new FPC members and updates FPC certificate maintenance.
• Follows Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Adheres to SOX requirements in regard to guest folio accounting.
• Ensures adherence to Fairmont’s Code of Ethics.
• Drives Rate & RevPAR through up-selling room brand.

Qualifications

• Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills.
• Proficient in the English language (verbal & written); second language is an asset.
• Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment while remaining calm and collective.
• Must be flexible in terms of working hours.
• Able to type 25 words per minute.
