Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver challenging Secondary Computing lessons aligned with the school 's British curriculum framework.
  • Develop students ' digital literacy, computational thinking and independent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Teach programming concepts through age-appropriate practical coding activities.
  • Build understanding of algorithms, decomposition, abstraction and logical reasoning.
  • Develop students ' knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software and digital technologies.
  • Introduce appropriate concepts relating to networks, data representation, databases and cybersecurity.
  • Help students understand responsible, ethical and safe use of digital technology.
  • Design practical projects that require students to apply computing concepts to authentic problems.
  • Develop systematic debugging, testing and code-improvement habits.
  • Encourage creativity by enabling students to design and develop digital solutions.
  • Establish strong progression in Computing knowledge and technical capability across the Secondary phase.
