A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Compressor Controls Regional Project Development Manager (RPDM) with a background in rotating machinery control and a proven understanding of driven/driver equipment and related auxiliary systems. This role is part of our regional service Modernization and Upgrades team in the Middle East. You will support customers from the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Industrial sectors, working closely with the regional Client Manager / mechanical RPDM. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions and techno-commercial proposals for control systems.

This role requires strong people management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Explore the market to generate new leads and opportunities in controls.
  • Qualify opportunities for control system upgrades, working with client managers.
  • Collaborate with mechanical Mods & Upgrades Project Development Managers.
  • Lead client communication, including technical presentations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with technical decision-makers.
  • Provide technical product training as required.
  • Meet controls targets and ensure smooth handover to the execution team.
  • Develop regional technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer needs.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs to major sub-suppliers for extended scope solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for project quotations and execution activities.

Note: Day-to-day supervision is limited. The RPDM must be proactive, self-starting, and capable of critical thinking to position Siemens Energy effectively.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, with experience in rotating machinery in energy industries, especially controls for compressors.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as Proposal / Estimation Engineer or similar roles.
  • Understanding of equipment control upgrade needs and ability to communicate technical solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and international boundaries.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, with good business sense and technical knowledge of rotating equipment.
  • Experience with Siemens Energy products is preferred, along with knowledge of competitors.
  • Willingness to travel and present solutions via Microsoft Teams.
