Job summary

Thndr is seeking a Compliance Officer & MLRO (COMLRO) in Abu Dhabi to ensure adherence to UAE regulatory and financial crime requirements. You will be the main regulator liaison, reporting to the Board and SEO, with deep knowledge of UAE frameworks and FSRA/DFSA experience.

The role involves building policies, monitoring programs, KYC/CDD, and SAR reporting, requiring 4–6 years in compliance within a regulated sector. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• FSRA/DFSA experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks is essential.
• 4-6 years of compliance experience in a regulated industry is expected.
• FSRA/DFSA-approved person is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Implement a risk-based compliance program.
• Conduct trade surveillance and transaction monitoring.
• Provide regulatory guidance to staff, the CEO, and the Board.
• Prepare and present compliance reports for the Board.
• Maintain AML policies and procedures as MLRO.
• Oversee KYC and CDD processes.
• Identify, analyze, and report suspicious transactions.
• Provide AML training and advisory support.
• Act as the primary contact for filing SARs.
