A leading engineering firm in the UAE is seeking a Compliance Manager to establish a compliance framework and ensure regulatory adherence. The role involves conducting compliance risk assessments, designing training programs, and liaising with regulators. Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience in compliance and a relevant degree.
Black Pearl is partnering with a leading engineering / infrastructure firm to appoint a Compliance Manager. You will establish and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework, ensure regulatory adherence, and foster an ethical, risk-aware culture across all operations. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Compliance Management System (CMS) in line with UAE federal regulations and internal policies. • Monitor changes in water-sector and utility regulations; assess impacts and drive updates to policies and procedures. • Lead periodic compliance risk assessments and gap analyses across business units. • Design and deliver training on anti-bribery, AML/KYC, and other regulatory requirements. • Oversee internal audits and investigations into potential compliance breaches; prepare findings and corrective-action plans. • Act as primary liaison with regulators, external auditors, and law-enforcement agencies. • Advise senior leadership on emerging compliance risks and remediation strategies. • Prepare and present quarterly compliance dashboards and reports to the Audit & Risk Committee. • Establish and monitor KPIs to track compliance performance and incident resolution. • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Project teams to integrate compliance into all processes.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP, ISO 37301 Lead) preferred. • Experience: 5–8 years in a compliance role within a regulated environment (utilities, infrastructure, government services). Demonstrated expertise in AML/KYC, regulatory reporting, and internal controls. • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of UAE regulatory bodies (e.g., CBUAE, Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure). Proficiency with compliance monitoring platforms and risk-management software.
