The candidate will oversee compliance matters, manage regulatory risks, and provide extensive support to senior management. The role requires a law degree, proven experience in compliance, and specific knowledge of the oil & gas sector.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in compliance.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a compliance role.
  • Direct oil & gas industry experience.

Job description

An international Oil and Gas company is actively searching for an experienced Group Compliance Officer to join their exploration department in Dubai, UAE.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a highly successful global company who are committed to performance and delivery. The role will require the selected applicant to provide support to all departments and in particular the Senior Management on all compliance matters relating to the group. In addition, you will manage the groups exposure to compliance and regulatory risks, advise management on the impact of applicable laws and regulations, manage relationships with external advisers, manage interfaces with any relevant regulators and monitor and enforce compliance within the control framework, financial authorities manual, contracts & purchasing policy, code of conduct and other key corporate governance policies.

To be suitable for this position you will need to have:

- at least 8 years' relevant experience
- minimum of 4 years experience in a compliance role
- degree in law and be a qualified lawyer / solicitor
- direct oil & gas experience

In return you will be rewarded with a highly attractive salary package in the region of £130,000 plus additional benefits.
