Compliance Executive

Job Purpose:

The Compliance Specialist will report directly to the Head of Compliance and Assurance at Dubai Taxi Company. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the organization adheres to legal standards and internal policies. The Compliance Specialist will identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including drafting procedures and providing training, as well as educating employees on compliance issues and best practices.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitor and maintain compliance with company procedures and UAE regulations (e.g., SCA, etc).
• Conduct regular monitoring activities to assess compliance with policies and procedures.
• Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Develop and implement compliance training programs for staff to reinforce understanding of compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with compliance policies and best practices.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive compliance reports to management.
• Stay up-to-date with any changes in regulations that may impact the organization and communicate these changes effectively.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Law, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address compliance challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of SCA or RTA regulations is a plus.

Preferred Certifications:

• SCA certification is preferred.
• Additional certifications in legal risk management, compliance, or specialized areas relevant to the role are advantageous.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
